Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Isn't this a job I can do myself?
Of course you can try to do it yourself but without the proper tools, equipment and know-how the results are usually sub-standard. Most homeowners have never cleaned their dryer/vents and when they try they don't know what to do, what to look for, or how to do it properly. The potential hazards are far too serious. Be safe not sorry - leave it to the professionals.
Q: I clean the lint screen on my dryer regularly. Does that mean I don't have to have my dryer vent cleaned?
Removing lint from the lint trap is absolutely necessary but that's just the tip of the iceberg, - there is a lot more lint underneath in the vents and dryer that you don't see. As much as 40% of the lint produced passes by the lint screen. This is the lint that is clogging your vents resulting in longer drying times and raising the dryer temperature to possible dangerous levels which can result in your dryer overheating.
Q: Once you get to my house, how long does it take to clean my dryer vent?
Most jobs take approximately an hour, this time can increase if other repairs are needed on your dryer venting system.
Q: Is the work that you do guaranteed?
Yes it is. If we fail to meet your expectations we will re-do the work at your convenience at no additional charge for 90 days after intial service call.
